About me
Rewild Sustrico is a new project to wild a badly mismanaged area of 20 ha in the foothills of the Umbrian Appenines in Italy. We are working with the University of Perugia and the local authority on establishing it as a bridge between the two nearby Nature 2000 sites with a view to making it a test bed for monitoring the effect on biodiversity of a more natural approach in this area. We would like to talk about Small scale wilding; encouraging biodiversity in commercially exploited woodland; EU and Italian initiatives; attracting and working with volunteers; EU and Italy grants.
