About me
Gemma is a Senior Officer in the Species Recovery and Reintroduction team at Natural England, where she provides support and advice in relation to species translocation projects. Gemma has a research background in conservation reintroductions and species action planning, with a focus on guidance and factors influencing success. Gemma previously worked as an ecologist, specialising in herpetofauna and is co-chair for the Reintroductions Working Group for the IUCN Amphibian Specialist Group and co- author of the IUCN Amphibian Reintroduction Guidelines. She is passionate about bringing together all areas of conservation to share knowledge and gather evidence to create positive action.
