I studied Biology and Spanish at the University of Sussex and the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, then taught English in Colombia for a year before studying an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation at the University of Leeds and then working with Frontier in Madagascar for a year conducting biodiversity survey work.
Back in the UK I trained and worked as an Ecologist for both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks before moving into the private sector with Ecosulis Ltd based in Bath and working as an Ecological Consultant. I moved to Plymouth City Council and worked as their Nature Conservation Officer for over 8 years – advising on planning applications big and small, developing new policies, securing new funding and implementing greenspace improvements.
I have worked with Natural England for 7 years now on both water and air quality as a Catchment Sensitive Farming Officer, policy development in the Local Nature Recovery Strategies team and for the last year I have been in the Species Reintroductions Team, amongst other things, supporting the
England Species Reintroductions Taskforce - GOV.UK
