Richard has 35 years experience in creative conservation, wildflower seed production, and innovative landscape delivery and community engagement. He spent 25 years with the urban ecology charity Landlife, delivering projects such as the National Wildflower Centre in Liverpool (2000), now part of the Eden Project, and initiatives like Soil Inversion and Forest of Flowers (with the Woodland Trust), delivered nationally . In Shropshire this has seen a surge in silver-studded blue butterflies from 200 to 54,000 on created heathland (for Butterfly Conservation) in .
